Cameron founded Neon in 2014, to provide private equity, legal, hedge fund, and family office clients with a truly 21st Century corporate intelligence practice. By fusing an elite team with thousands of cutting edge online capabilities and industry-leading investigative standards, Neon is elevating the standards expected in the corporate intelligence market.
Cameron brings over 15 years of intelligence and cyber experience to Neon, having worked for almost a decade for GCHQ on counter terrorism and cyber intelligence. During his time in Government Cameron worked closely with the NSA, UK/US Special Forces, the Cabinet Office and other partner agencies.
In 2016, Cameron won the first ever Fulbright Cyber Security Award, created by President Obama and Prime Minister David Cameron to enhance UK-US cyber cooperation. Cameron conducted his research at the RAND Corporation, and with both DARPA and Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory in the United States.
Cameron has developed leading expertise in providing boardrooms, global businesses, law firms, and private clients with decisive advantage through world-class online investigations.
Nadine is a member of Neon’s Executive team and manages all of Neon’s client relations across private equity, hedge funds, family offices and law firms.
Nadine spent over five years working for British intelligence, becoming a renowned expert in International Counter Terrorism and leading a number of high-priority investigations to disrupt imminent threats to the UK.
Prior to joining Neon, Nadine spent two years as the Senior Manager for Global Security at Allen & Overy. In this role, Nadine advised partners across all practices and offices on high-risk matters including personnel security, data exfiltration, client due diligence, and political risk.
Nadine holds a First Class degree in English Literature from Oxford University.
Head of Operations
Sophia is part of Neon’s management team and manages the overall Operations function for both the UK and US.
Sophia has over five years of experience working for SMEs in a wide range of industries, including finance, education, and healthcare. She has made meaningful contributions in roles covering operations, procurement, finance, and logistics. Most recently, Sophia was the Operations Manager for a healthcare agency, where she was critical in implementing new systems and processes that enabled the business to double in size.
Sophia holds a First Class degree in Enterprise and Entrepreneurship, and has completed an internship at Citi Bank. She has acted as a group organiser for London Start-Up Founders and was a co-facilitator for the East London Action for Happiness group.
Ryan is a member of Neon’s management team and oversees Neon’s business growth relationships across private equity, hedge funds, family offices, and law firms.
Ryan spent 16 years as an officer in the UK’s Royal Marines Commandos. He held several roles, including Head of Intelligence for the EU’s Naval Force, focusing on counter-piracy operations in the Horn of Africa and Western Indian Ocean.
Prior to joining Neon, Ryan spent over four years working as a Specialist in J.P. Morgan’s Payments business. In this role, Ryan was responsible for onboarding high-growth tech clients, and implementing global cash management solutions.
Sofia Alaines Guzzo
Sofia is a member of Neon’s management team, looking after our client portfolio and overseeing the execution of all investigations.
Prior to joining Neon, Sofia managed the customer journey for global affairs clients at a fast-growing market research company in London. She has worked at the United Nations in various duty stations, and integrated a team of legal advisors at a law firm in Buenos Aires.
Sofia is a lawyer and qualified legal advisor throughout the European Union, with experience in public international law, human rights, and high profile corruption cases. She holds certificates of specialisation in relevant disciplines from the United Nations Institute for Training and Research, the United Nations Department of Safety and Security, the University of Copenhagen, and University College London, among others.
Karl is Neon’s Account Manager for the US & Canada. Karl has over five years of experience in the private intelligence and corporate investigations industries, working in roles ranging from intelligence analyst, to client solutions manager, and business development manager. He has partnered with a broad array of clients including Fortune 500 investment banks, private equity firms, and consultancies.
Karl has a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Arts in Anthropology from the University of Alabama, as well as a minor in liberal arts. He holds certifications in anti money laundering and cryptocurrency.
Senior Intelligence Analyst
Lucy joined Neon in 2020 as an Intelligence Analyst and delivers world-class investigations for clients in private equity, hedge fund and family offices. She has experience working on issues relating to ESG, fraud, cryptocurrencies, M&A and reputational risk and adds dozens of unique investigations capabilities to Neon’s COSMIC platform each month.
Prior to joining Neon, Lucy worked as an investigator for NetWatch Global, specialising in insurance fraud, asset tracing and counterfeit goods investigations. Lucy holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Spanish and Russian from the University of Bristol and also speaks Czech and Polish.
Senior Intelligence Analyst
Max is a Senior Intelligence Analyst at Neon and an experienced China-watcher with expertise in advising clients on reputational, financial, and regulatory risks. Max leads Neon’s work on ESG and supply chain risks, corporate fraud, and using intelligence to drive activist outcomes for shareholders. He has wide experience contextualising unstructured data into meaningful intelligence.
Prior to joining Neon, Max worked as an Intelligence Analyst at Storyful, specialising in internet activism, mis- and disinformation, network analysis, geopolitical risk and ESG. He also previously worked in public policy and China-related corporate affairs, living in China for nearly five years.
Max holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Politics from the University of Dundee and a Master’s Degree in Chinese Political Economy from Renmin University of China. He also studied as a Mandarin language scholar for one year and is a DFRLab Digital Sherlock scholar.
Sara joined Neon in 2023 as an Intelligence Analyst. She graduated with distinction in International Security from Westminster University and she holds a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations and European Institutions from the University of Milan.
Prior to joining Neon, Sara gained valuable experience in the political risk and due diligence sectors working as a research analyst for well-established London-based investigation companies, with a particular focus on Latin America.
Sara is an Italian native speaker and she has a good knowledge of Spanish and Portuguese.
Ares joined Neon in 2023 as an Intelligence Analyst. He has worked in journalism in the United States, with a focus on state-level politics, as well as being a research analyst at London Politica, specialising in ESG and the Middle East.
Ares is a German and Turkish native speaker with a strong knowledge of Spanish, and a passion for Arabic. He graduated from the International and World History Programme at Columbia University and LSE, and he holds an undergraduate degree with honours in History from the University of Edinburgh.
Klaara joined Neon in 2023 as an Intelligence Analyst. She previously worked in Strategic Communications, gaining valuable insight into complex investigations across a diverse range of clients.
Klaara is a native Finnish speaker and has a strong understanding of various Nordic languages, as well as French. She holds a master’s degree in Intelligence and International Security from King’s College London, and a bachelor’s degree in International Relations from the University of York.
